It’s been four years since the unassuming Jack Carty arrived on the scene with his debut EP Wine & Consequence. Since then the Melbourne based singer songwriter has released two full length albums – 2011’s One Thousand Origami Birds and 2012’s Break Your Own Heart. This was quickly followed by a collaborative EP with Sydney based man-of-mystery Casual Psychotic, titled The Predictable Crisis Of Modern Life, showcasing a darker and more experimental side of Carty’s songwriting.

Now after three years of travelling and touring Carty is about to release his new album, titled Esk. The upcoming record includes the singles ‘The Joneses’ which was co-written with Josh Pyke, and ‘The Universe’ which features the one and only Katie Noonan.

Carty is today releasing this stunning new single ‘Be Like The Water’. If what we’ve heard so far is anything to go by, Esk promises to be one of the most exciting folk-pop releases of the year. For more info visit www.jackcarty.com
