Melbourne garage rockers Department have just released their rather loose video to their latest single ‘Gold Pining’, shot throughout Melbourne, it’s a great two and a half minutes of garage pop and location spotting.

According to the presser the band’s sound is “akin to a chainsaw committing autophagy or the dulcet sounds of a cooing dove (subjective)” they’re a “curious blend of trash-schlop-pop outside of the insider cock-rock-junky-funk-punk-garage-menage with elements of lo/no/go/so and bro-fi”, you know what? It’s probably easier to click play and take a listen for yourself.

The guys will be playing on Thursday the 4th of September at The Northcote Social Club with support from Motel Love and LOOBs, for more info you can visit their Facebook page.
