Earlier this month we wrote about legendary Aussie actor Guy Pearce’s single ‘Storm’, which was an incredibly impressive debut venture into the world of music.

Our writer described Pearce’s voice as “a suave, smokey set of pipes that sound like a deeper, more matured Jeff Buckley before soaring upward through his registry to an (almost) Thom Yorke falsetto coo.” While instrumentally “the track progresses as a funk jam laden with jazzy Tom Waits inspired bass and percussion tones.”

Today we’re excited to be premiering the video to ‘Storm’. Directed by Melbourne-based filmmaker Michael Shanks (LateNite Films), Shankes explains the video as “a rather literal interpretation of the Storm motif,”

Guy explains “After meeting Michael Shanks in 2013 and seeing the videos he’d directed for his own songs, “Towards The Sun” and “On The Borderline” (under the moniker, Roadgeek), I knew he’d bring a fascinating perspective to my songs visually. After many discussions, we decided ‘Storm’ would be a good place to start. Michael’s use of visual effects is highly compelling and just what I wanted to magnify the melodrama of the song’s core theme.”

Compelling it is! Check it out below, Pearce plans to release his first full lenght LP titled Broken Bones and take a very intimate scaled live show on the Australian road in November this year.
