Mark Lanegan Band – ‘Floor Of The Ocean’

With his new EP out this week and a pending visit to Australia for Meredith music festival it’s Lanegan season over here- and what better way to celebrate than with a brand new track plucked straight from his upcoming album Phantom Radio? Lanegan’s chief compositional tool on Phantom Radio (out October 21st) was his phone – specifically an app called Funk Box. (LD)

Bertie Blackman – ‘War Of One’

Following on from the single ‘Run For Your Life’, the always evolving Bertie Blackman has just revealed a second cut from her forthcoming fifth studio album ‘The Dash’ (Due October 3) in the form the pulsating, synth laced ‘War Of One’. (LD)

Smith Street Band – ‘Surrender’

One of Melbourne’s most popular groups, Smith Street Band have just released ‘Surrender’ taken from their upcoming LP Throw Me In The River. In typical Smith Street fashion, the track is ann all out pub rock number, “you don’t have to surrender if you don’t want to” chants the magnetic Wil Wagner. Smith Street have an incredible knack of being albe to say ‘life can suck, but fuck it let’s have fun anyway.'(LD)

Les Sins – ‘Bother’

Chaz Bundick, also better known as Toro Y Moi has dropped a brand new house track, but under then monkier of Les Sins…did you get all that? You’d better ’cause the track is killer.‘Bother’ is off the upcoming first full length LP as Les Sins. If “working” means producing bangers like this, we promise we won’t bother you Chaz. (LD)

Cakes Da Killa – ‘You Ain’t Tho’

New Jersey based rapper Cakes Da Killa is one of the best (yet still underrated) rappers going around. Released via THUMP, ‘You Ain’t Tho’ is Killa at his best. It’s Friday, time to drop in a real ego boosting banger, when you get home play this track, feel the sass the get out there and KILL. (LD)

Twinsy – ‘Tear It Down’

‘Tear It Down’ sees Twinsy channel frantic tribal rhythms blended with that tropical dance pop we’ve come to know and love from the guys.Since infecting music fans nation wide with their incredibly catchy single ‘Waterbombs’ the guys have kept busy recording their new EP and entertaining fans at a string of sold out shows and festival appearances with their high-energy live performances. Kele – ‘Doubt’

The first single off Kele’s upcoming LP is ‘Doubt’ just under five minutes of full of deft beats and syncopated rhythms. Clearly drawing influence from his time travelling the world playing dj set to packed out sweaty clubs, ‘Doubt’ condenses British club culture into five glorious minutes. (LD)

Jack Carty – ‘Be Like The Water’

Now after three years of travelling and touring Carty is about to release his new album, titled Esk. Carty has just released this stunning new single ‘Be Like The Water’. If what we’ve heard so far is anything to go by, Esk promises to be one of the most exciting folk-pop releases of the year. (LD)
