After signing to Future Classic this year it’s fait to say Sydney native Basenji’s next output was highly anticipated, and with ‘Heirloom’ (his first track via Future Classic) he delivers.
The long-awaited single has been a hot topic on Soundcloud ever since fellow Sydneysider Wave Racer – Basenji’s high school friend and former production buddy – dropped the “Heirloom” demo in his mix for the BBC Radio 1 “Diplo and Friends” mix series.
Very Cashmere Cat cross Wave Racer, but still original and completely exciting. Right noe Baseneji is leaving us hanging for his new EP which according to his press release is ‘on the horizon’, in the meantime catch Basenji in action when he swings by your hometown:
