The Black Keys Australian Tour 2015 has been announced.
Following on from being announced as headliners of the Bluesfest 2015 lineup this morning, this afternoon brings news that the dynamic blues rock duo will be bolstering their Byron Bay appearance next April with a full-scale national tour of the country in April 2015.
The Black Keys will perform at arena-sized venues in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide, in shows presented by Love Police, as well as two wineries in Victoria’s Yarra Valley and the Hunter Valley in NSW as part of the Rolling Green concert series from promoters Roundhouse Entertainment. All tickets on sale Thursday 11th September.
The Black Keys Australian Tour 2015 is the band’s eighth tour Down Under (since first hitting Aus in 2003), fitting given the twosome – Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – are arriving in support of their eighth and latest studio album, Turn Blue, which became the first Black Keys record to debut at #1 on the US and Australian Charts simultaneously.

The band’s highest charting album to date internationally, Turn Blue also debuted in Top 5 and Top 10 charts worldwide with the first single ‘Fever’ sitting at the top of radio lists. The album, co-produced by Danger Mouse with Auerbach and Carney, has also spawned latest single ‘Gotta Get Away’.
Turn Blue follows the critically and commercially acclaimed album El Camino which is now certified double platinum in Australia. El Camino spawned the huge hits “Lonely Boy” and “Gold On The Ceiling” and also saw the band take home three Grammy Awards for Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album.
