The full Meredith Music Festival 2014 lineup has been announced and the crown jewel of Victoria’s summer music calendar has once again delivered a characteristically enviable and eclectic bill.

First festival matriarch Aunty Meredith announced Philly fuzz rockers The War On Drugs as the first band of the Meredith 2014 lineup, owing to their latest opus Lost In The Dream being her (and one of our) favourite album(s) of 2014.

Next came gravelly voiced Screaming Trees and QOTSA associate, Mark Lanegan; stoner rock sludge merchants Sleep; London ‘post-industrial’ trio Factory Floor, and the early AM hours given over to a live set from British techno sorcerer James Holden for the Friday night.

Then prolific noise rock visionary Ty Segall; the Americana delights of Phosphorescent; Wu-Tang figurehead Ghostface Killah; spiky alt-rockers Cloud Nothings; Aussie cult legends The Lemonheads; captivating Kiwi songwriter Tiny Ruins for the Saturday night.

Now Meredith has added the final touches to the lineup and there are plenty of other musical delights in addition to the usual one stage, zero lineup clashes, nudie runs, BYO beverages, drinks with the lineup, zero commercial sponsors, glorious campgrounds, and the famed ‘No Dickheads Policy’.

The artists in this second and final announcement are JAGWAR MA, JEN CLOHER, SUN GOD REPLICA, THE HARPOONS, KRAKATAU, CITY OF BALLARAT MUNICIPAL BRASS BAND, THE TOWN BIKES and SILENCE WEDGE. Special guest host is FEE B2.

The Interstitial Soundtrack this year will be provided by Karen Leng, Fee B2, Etta and Tilly, Bennis, DJ People and Breaking & Entering. Master Song will be back with his Tai Chi Masterclass and The Meredith Gift will be run and won on the Sunday.

Tickets for this year’s festivities have also sold out, following a delay caused by a technical glitch. If you don’t have tickets, the next opportunity for a Supernatural Amphitheatre experience is Golden Plains whose details should be announced in a month or so.

If you can’t give up the dream of Meredith and are still seeking tickets, please be very aware that scammers and scalpers are now targeting people looking for tickets, and unfortunately ripping them off on a regular basis.

Please be very careful about handing any money over to someone you don’t know, especially online. For more details about buying or selling tickets, please read this.
