Rock n roll, soul and blues fans it’s time to meet Stella Angelico, the adored rock n’ soul heroine of the Melbourne underground. Just about to release to unleash her new single, ‘Prey’ (officially out tomorrow September 12th via iTunes)
‘Prey’ was inspired by the story of a Polish woman who was buried alive by her husband, but escaped using the engagement ring that he gave her “When I’m underground give me diamonds / When I’m cold wrap me in stars / When it’s all burning down dress me in my wedding gown / Won’t be your Prey”
Since the release of her first single ‘Mister’ in 2012, Angelico’s loyal fanbase has swelled. From playing the swampy depths of iconic city haunts, such as Cherry Bar and the Old Bar, to the big stages of Boogie Festival, and MONA FOMA Stella is has been doing the hard yards and it’s paying off.
