Melbourne lords of Psychedelia, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, have upped the ante by releasing one of the most vomit-inducing, trippy music videos this year.

Taking a leaf out of King Parrot’s tips for creating the ultimate music video, King Gizzard’s latest music video is presented in traditional red-blue 3D that’s so intense and fast paced it’s pretty much guaranteed to bring your lunch back up. We tried watching the music video first without, and then with 3D glasses, and rest assured it’s far worse without them.

Everyone’s favourite local psych seven piece, and probably Australia’s most prolific band, have been absolutely killing it of late, with the latest being the announcement that their upcoming LP titled I’m In Your Mind Fuzz will be released by Thee Oh Sees frontman John Dwyer on his label Castle Face Records in the USA and in the UK and Europe on Heavenly Recordings.

Set for release locally via Remote Control/ Flightless on October 31st, I’m In Your Mind Fuzz will be the band’s fifth release within two years.

The announcement comes off the back of their their virgin US and Canada tour which saw King Gizzard playing Austin Psych FestCanadian Music Week, a 12-date run of the US East Coast, a June Residency at Baby’s Alright in Brooklyn and a festival appearance at Northside Festival.

Now back on home soil from their first-ever American tour, funded by the inaugural $50,000 Carlton Dry Global Music Grant, and their newest album in the final stages of production and prepped for release, the King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Australian Tour 2014 will see the ‘Gizzeranut’ rolling through Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Hyden.

They’re also looking to pull another multi-night stint in Melbourne, playing four consecutive nights at four venues they missed last time on their sold out five venue hometown run earlier this year in support of Oddments.
