Garage rock’s most prolific prodigy is not only hitting the ‘Sup as part of the Meredith Music Festival 2014 lineup this December, but he’s also undertaking his biggest Australian tour to date to coincide with the latest addition to his enormous discography.

The tours has proven so popular that organisers have already announced second and final December headline dates for Melbourne and Sydney, with previously announced shows in both cities now sold out.

Manipulator (out Friday 22nd August via Spunk) is a sprawling new double album of searing garage rock, heavy punk riffage, Nuggets-era psych, and straight up high-volume thrash. Australian audiences will get the chance to witness the 27-year-old tearing through his latest opus as he tours venues in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Byron Bay.

Ty Segall’s live show has hit countless global stages, from US festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo, to the small clubs of his native California and everywhere in-between.

If you’ve yet to see Segall or any one of his many collaborations and off-shots in action live, then you’ve little excuse not to catch him along with his full band (bassist Mikal Cronin, guitarist Charlie Moothart, drummer Emily Epstein) at what will be distortion-fuelled epic sets.
