The long and storied history of the fabled Bermuda Triangle is full of mysterious phenomena: mysterious fogs, time and space-warping wormholes, alien abduction, whirlpools, mysterious weather events, even huge, ship-and-airplane devouring sea creatures. Y’know, if you believe

What mythological mysterious sea creatures suck at, though, is throwing wild parties. Being mysterious and mythological? Sure, they’re great at that. But three-day parties over Halloween? Not so much. So, considering the Triangle’s reputation, what better location for one of the world’s most unique music festivals than one of the Triangle’s islands? You can get loose AND spooked. On a damn tropical island.

Yup. The Bacardi Triangle is taking place on Palomino, an island that lies just off the coast of Puerto Rico in the actual freakin’ Bermuda Triangle.

And with the fantastical tales told of that general triangular vicinity no doubt lurking in their minds, 1,862 exceptionally fortunate guests (the number reflecting the year Bacardi was founded) will be flown on charters jets from NYC, LA and London to party on Palomino and at the Waldorf Astoria’s neighbouring five star ‘El Conquistador’ resort. Spiffy, right?

As for the artists joining them, it’s a lineup that’s as impressive as the surrounds. Headlining Bacardi Triangle are three big names: Scottish man-about-the-world (and the world’s highest paid DJ) Calvin Harris, winsome UK popstrelle Ellie Goulding and probably the most important voice in contemporary hip-hop, Kendrick Lamar.

Damn.

Can you imagine hearing parts of Good Kid M.A.A.D City on a tropical island? That’s nuts.

The bad news? You can’t buy tickets to it. The good news? 12 Aussies have the chance to join in the fun and win an all-expenses-paid trip (worth a sweet $20k) to party at Bacardi Triangle.

Also representing Australia will be party impresarios Bang Gang DJs, and Gus Da Hoodrat and Jaime Doom join a lineup that features The Cuban Brothers, AC Slater, Nadastrom, Sinden, Tensnake, PBR Streetgang, Crazy P Soundsystem. Marc Roberts, Thee Mike B, Jubilee, Futureboogie, and Freddy Be and Konect from Monday Social.

Man. Halloween’s meant to be scary, but this is some mad, mad FOMO.
