It’s taken four years, three producers, four studios and fourteen tracks, but Melbourne band Black Cab have finally completed their fourth studio album, Games Of The XXI Olympiad. The double-length album will be out November 7.

Their first album in five years, Games Of The XXI Olympiad is an exploration of more electronic territories which you can hear on the lead single from the record ‘Supermädchen’.

As with earlier albums such as 2004’s Altamont Diary and Call Signs, the band take a loose concept to create a listening experience that works as a whole. This time it’s the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympic games, when systematically doped up East Germans scooped the medals and Australia went home without a gold. East German shot put gold medallist Andreas Krieger was so steroid enhanced she became a he in 1997.
