German luxury brand Hugo Boss are renown as one of the world’s leading unique fashion and style icons, however, in a recent video campaign, the company appears to have unpinned their seam of individuality, allegedly ripping off UK band The XX.

Believe it, the fashion giants’ new campaign “Master The Light” guests a handsome chap, cruising round town in a Mercedes Benz, decked out in a Hugo Boss kit, all to the sounds of a track that is almost identical to The XX’s signature tune, ‘Intro,’ as The Line Of Best Fit points out.

The 1:30-minute video features the same BPM, key and tones as ‘Intro’, it really is mind-boggling, just compare the two for yourself:

The UK band’s label, Young Turks, have called out the daring plagiarism of Hugo Boss via Twitter

Hugo Boss are yet to comment on the very close imitation of The XX’s dreamy minimalist beat, we’re thinking not even a life time of free Boss gear will get them out of such an insanely close copy.
