Every fortnight we scour the internet and job classifieds to find you the best jobs in music that you can apply for. But today, we’ve found a job that’s so awesome that even we’re considering applying. And the best bit? It’s also the easiest job we’ve ever come across.

A mysterious job advertisement was posted on SEEK this morning, seeking a front row fist pumper to keep the beat during a free live music gig in Melbourne. According to the job add it’s essential you’re able to maintain composure through a shower of sweat from the band and crowd.

This temporary, one night only, position is open for a front row fist pumper at a free gig in Melbourne on October 22. The successful applicant will show a willingness to party in the front row of the mosh pit, act rebelliously and living spontaneously in the moment.

However, before you get your hopes up there’s a few criteria you have to meet to qualify for the job.

Selection criteria:

• An advanced diploma in circle pit.

• Demonstrated ability to live in the moment.

• Technical knowledge in handling bodies overhead.

• 18+ years of age.

• Appreciate the epic sounds of bands, ‘The Vines’ and ‘Bloods’.

So what’s this all about?

Turns out sneaker geniuses Converse are behind the advert, and are hosting a series of free live music shows beginning in Melbourne on October 22, featuring Australian rock favourites The Vines, supported by Bloods. On October 23 the series will move to Sydney with a co-headlined show with up and coming artists Remi and Collarbones. The series will then travel to New Zealand in November with fresh line up of artists.

Tickets cannot be purchased; instead, Converse fans will find ticket offers in unexpected places and receive spur-of-the-moment invitations to drop what they’re doing to attend these one-of-a-kind live shows. The opportunity could strike at any time with a clear choice – act spontaneously and live in the moment like a sneaker or carry on as normal like a shoe.

So what are you waiting for? Act spontaneously and apply for this job. We guarantee it will look great on your CV.
