Not everyone gets added to the Laneway Festival lineup with only one two tracks under their belt, but that’s exactly what just happened to Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Peter Bibby.

Lifted from the troubadour’s upcoming debut album, Butcher/Hairstylist/Beautician, ‘Hates My Boozin” is a beer-soaked, jangly guitar ballad that draws parallels to Courtney Barnett’s charming songwriting with an undeniable Dylanesque feel.

With his LP due out in October and a highly-coveted spot on the Laneway tour to look forward to, Peter Bibby seems like he’s prepped for a breakout in the not too distant future. Get acquainted and listen to ‘Hates My Boozin” below.
