With Summer festival season just around the corner and a plethora of New Years festival announcements already out into the world it can often be hard to choose how you want to ring in 2015.

It doesn’t take much to sell New Years Eve On The Hill on as a possible solution to your dilemma, but just in case you needed that little bit of extra convincing we asked the organisers to give us a rundown (pretty pictures included) on a few reasons why this event is so special.

“Freedom from the city… Freedom from massive crowds… Freedom to hang out with great people, in an amazing location, listening to awesome live-music… What better way to bring in the New Year?

NYE on the Hill is a three-day (two-night) boutique music and camping festival for good-vibing, music-loving folk. We purposefully keep the number of people that attend to under 2000 to ensure a ‘hills-experience’ which is unlike any other NYE event.

Here we take a closer look at this pretty-damn special gathering to give you all a sneak peak at what makes it just that.”

Amazing Live Music

“The best up-and-coming live acts in the country. You may not have heard of them all when they’re first announced, but trust us, you will soon after. A heap of now well-known Australian acts performed their first-ever festival set on the ol’ Hill. This year’s line-up certainly looks like delivering the goods once again.”

Sunset Spot

“An unbelievably beautiful location to simply chill-out with friends, breathe in the country air, indulge in the view and reflect on how much of a freaking amazing time you’re having! It doesn’t get more relaxing than this. Welcome to the Hills…”

Hill Camp And Surrounds

“One of the most picturesque camp ‘sights’ you’re ever likely to see. Welcome to the Hill Camp Tent Village; no cars, no stupid stereos playing music no-one else wants to hear, and no cows (provided fences hold up). Water-front camping for those who arrive early. There’s also a separate Family-Camp area for those music-loving parents and Ridge-Camp for folks who care about an incredible view more-so than a completely horizontal tent.”

The Farmer’s Field Of Fun

“Want a break from the tunes? Just a short stroll away is the ‘Farmer’s Field of Fun’ where you can relive some childhood faves! Out hand-eye-coordinate your opponents on the ever-pointless, yet extremely addictive totem tennis. Roll your way to victory on the ‘outdoor ten pin’ course or try to make par on the ‘home-made’ mini mini-golf course.”

The Dr. Pong Shed

“So you’re a frustrated table-tennis star who never got a break? Well, here ’tis! Inspired by Berlin’s own, is the ‘Dr. Pong Shed’. The pong shed runs all night and is where a heap of awesome friendships have been made (and some long-term sporting rivalries).”

The Food-Fair

“Great coffee. Great Food. Great people. Yep.”

Barnyard Buddies

“A kids’ animal farm at a music festival…. What more can you really want?”

Dancing

“Folks at NYE on the Hill are encouraged to dance… and they do. No arrogant attitudes. Just Good people. Good music. Good vibes.”

THAA Bar

“Although NYE on the Hill is BYO (which is obviously pretty awesome), there is also a tap-beer and cocktail bar with a direct view of the stage. We hear there’s a pretty damn good vibe in there too.”

The PerFARMance THAAtre And Roving Performers

“Magicians, comedians, face-painters, poets, acoustic performers, crazed punk bands… There’s a good chance you’ll run into some of these, or they’ll run into you.”

And…

“With every event that takes place on the Hill it seems a little something extra is added. We look forward to seeing what else this NYE has in store…”
