Melbourne duo Hammocks and Honey have just dropped ‘The Pawn’ it’s the first we’ve heard from the talented two piece since the release of their Spellbinder EP four years ago.

‘The Pawn’ is a stunning fusion of atmospheric synth electro and avant pop. Mixed and mastered by Simon Grounds, the track is menacing and enthralling, and a clear return to the lavish expanses of their previous work.

Following the release of their debut EP, Hammocks and Honey have supported the likes of Toro Y Moi (US), CANT (US) and Tujiko Noriko (JPN) and were remixed by Tim Shiel, Collarbones, Fatti Frances and Hidden Suns (Milwaukee Banks). Last year, band member Prudence Rees-Lee also released her first solo LP Court Music From The Planet of Love.

The pair are currently putting finishing touches on next single ‘Chiffon’,which promises to be “a rippling, arpeggiated jam about beauty, illusion and the bewitched”.
