In case you missed it, Tuesday night on Channel 7’s program Dancing With The Stars witnessed what can only be described as the single most disturbing 10-minutes of Australian television history.

Ex-musician and Australian Idol judge turn barrister, Mark Holden, decked out in a clown costume that was horrifyingly reminiscent of Stephen King’s IT, fumbled across the dancefloor for a few minutes which to be honest, was sickening enough, before dishing up a verbal meltdown of cataclysmic proportions.

Gasping for air after his “performance”, the 60-year old approached host Daniel McPherson rubbing his own inflated belly, rasping “do you like balloons, Danny?” the question that set this wayward train well and truly off the rails and into a nightmarish oblivion.

The following five minutes after witnessed Holden toss comments at judge Kym Johnson “Kimmy, I promised the full ‘Vlad’, but I didn’t give the full ‘Putin’ and you’re just pissed off at me. I’ve got to sit you down on my knee young girl and have a bloody good conversation.” We aren’t kidding, this seriously happened.

Mainstay judge Todd McKenny expressed his fears for the program’s “switch-up week” where dancers change partners, meaning Holden would be passed onto another sorry dancer, to which Marky-Mark grabbed the mic and proclaimed “a swingers week, that’s very sophisticated of you Channel 7, I love the idea of a swingers week” … we know, and we’re sorry.

Whether this was a little stunt pulled by Holden and Channel 7, or just a genuine display of “murder on the dancefloor”, our stomachs are turning writing about the incident.
