Earlier this year we excitedly announced that Bank Of Melbourne had launched Melbourne Music Bank, an initiative to uncover the Melbourne’s best song-writers with a reward of $15,000, all one had to do was pen an original track about our fair city, Melbourne.
To get the creative juices flowing, we provided a little list of inspiration that contained our favourite tunes that were influenced by ‘The Live Music Capital of Australia’, which evidently had a great effect, with Melbourne Music Bank unveiling the 13 incredible finalists.
The shortlist contains a cocktail of genres to impress any music fan, from forward-thinking art-pop to urban hip-hop to earthy bluegrass and a strong list of hearty folk entrances.
