Ella Hooper is the definition of Australian rock royalty. First demanding our attention with the multi-platinum selling Killing Heidi, Hooper has gone on to conquer radio and television, and now she’ll be embarking on her last untouched frontier by unveiling her long-awaited full-length solo effort, In Tongues, on Friday, 21st November.
“Making In Tongues has been an incredible journey for me, and a massive learning curve I needed to go through as an artist,” says Hooper. “It’s been at times difficult and terrifying but also incredibly fun and freeing. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, haha. But I’m so proud of where it’s ended up, being as intensely personal and sonically adventurous as it is.”
In Tongues, produced by Jan Skubizewski (Way Of The Eagle, Owl Eyes, John Butler Trio, Illy), is now available for fans to pre-order via PledgeMusic, along with a range of exclusive In Tongues merchandise.
The album has already yielded three critically acclaimed singles, ‘Häxan’, and this year’s ‘Low High’ and ‘The Red Shoes’, all of which Hooper will be airing during her special one-off performance at the Ding Dong Lounge on Saturday, 6th December. Check below for all details.
