I’lls are an electronica based three-piece that hail from Melbourne that create some of the most jaw-dropping productions we’ve heard in a long time.

The trio have released two tracks, ‘Fifty-Phiphti’ and ‘Asakusa’, to no surprise, both tunes are outrageously great.

Taking listen first of ‘Fifty-Phiphti’, one is instantly lifted high above the clouds, the blissful, chilling basic synth loops deeply immersing.

The track takes needed time as it builds with a flurry of hurried high keys flitters before closing with menacing base undertones. In all, ‘Fifty-Phiphti’ is rather reminiscent of AIR’s ‘Alone In Kyoto’, but moves further into darker realms.

The second beat, ‘Asakusa’ is as the name suggests, a more orient-inspired piece. Laden with Asia-inspired chimes, the lush track progresses soundly as faint, hushed vocals soothingly loop in and out of focus as the entire I’lls orchestra come together to form one holistic thing of electronica beauty.

There couldn’t be better sounds to get you through the remainder of the week.
