Triple J is now 40 years young and to celebrate the milestone, Australia’s favourite youth network has gotten together with Sydney Festival and Fuzzy to announce a special birthday party event, Beat the Drum, featuring a lineup of acts championed by Triple J, including Hilltop Hoods, The Presets, The Cat Empire, and more.
There’ll also be appearances from network mainstay Nina Las Vegas, recent arrival KLP, as well as sets from You Am I, Vance Joy, The Preatures, Ball Park Music, Adalita, Courtney Barnett, Remi, and Owl Eyes, with more acts still to be announced.
In addition to some very special guests, the day will be filled with surprises, including special acoustic performances, surprise collaborations, and covers of some iconic Australian hits made famous by Triple J.
