One of the world’s hottest electronic music producer’s Porter Robinson has been announced as the second keynote speaker at this year’s Electronic Music Conference (EMC), which will take place in Sydney’s Kings Cross precinct from December 2 to 4.

After a meteoric rise up the ranks as one of electronic music’s most assured producers, in 2014 Porter Robinson released his debut album ‘Worlds’ and secured his status as one of the important young artists working today.

At 22-years-old, Robinson commands a near-religious devotion from his legion of fans, while his production work enjoys both critical and commercial success. Currently touring Worlds around the globe, he will be in Australia as a headliner at this year’s Stereosonic.

Robinson will join other world-class EMC speakers including artists Steve Aoki, Will Sparks, Peking Duk, Nina Las Vegas and The Aston Shuffle. EMC will also bring some of the world’s biggest talent bookers, artist managers and A&R executives to Sydney including talent buyer Donnie Estopinal, Coachella booker Johnny Shockey, Head of A&R at Interscope Records Neil Jacobsen alongside local industry heavyweights Jon Hanlon (Sony Music/Konkrete), Nathan McLay (Future Classic) and Simon Coyle (SFX/Stereosonic) with many more speakers to be announced in coming weeks.

Recognised as one of the world’s leading electronic music conferences, EMC, which is a official part of ARIA Week, will this year grow beyond just a daytime industry-focused conference by introducing a night-time program of showcase events called EMC Play. EMC Play will see many of Australia’s leading dance music labels host events across multiple venues over two nights at Sydney’s iconic Kings Cross & Darlinghurst entertainment precinct this December 3 and 4.

EMC Founder Neil Ackland said, “Australian electronic music is exploding in popularity around the world with artists like Flume, Peking Duk, What’s So Not, Will Sparks, Anna Lunoe and Tommy Trash leading the way. EMC’s goal is to help discover the next crop of Australian talent.”

Tickets are $349 and include access to the full conference, networking events and EMC Play Showcases and are available here.

This year EMC has also partnered with The Kirketon and Diamant Hotel’s to offer discounted ticket and hotel packages that include three nights accommodation and a conference pass. More details here.

Destination NSW is a key strategic partner of EMC, with the aim of helping to grow the event, and attracting interstate and international visitors and creative professionals to NSW.

EMC has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
