Legendary Canadian troubadour Leonard Cohen is set to release his first album in six years. Due next year, he’s revealed that after over 40 years of recording he’s finally self-produced an album. The 75 year old high priest of pathos told Rolling Stone that “God-willing it will be finished next spring” as he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City over the weekend. Cohen returned to performing in 2008 after he realised that his former manager had fleeced him of his earnings leaving him virtually penniless. Cohen returns to Australia for an arena tour in November.
