Many Australian hip-hop fans were crushed earlier this year after Queens’ finest husky rhyme-slinger, Action Bronson, announced that he had to pull out of his commitments to Groovin The Moo due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

However, they were chuffed when it was announced that he would be making a headline appearance at not one, not two, but three Aussie music festivals this summer – Beyond The Valley, Field Day, and Origin NYE.

Well, we’re sorry to tell you, hip-hop fans, but you can go back to being crushed now. The organisers of Beyond The Valley have confirmed that Bronsonlino has gone and done cancelled his Australian tour dates again.

“Due to recording commitments Action Bronson has to cancel is upcoming Australian tour,” reads a statement from Action Bronson’s management included in the Beyond The Valley press release.

The crew at the upcoming boutique event said they are “disappointed” to see the rapper cancel his Australian tour. However, it’s not all bad news.

“We are pretty stoked to announce One Day, who we know can more than fill that slot. The One Day collective in Horrorshow, Spit Syndicate, Joyride, and Jackie Onassis are the perfect inclusion to the Beyond The Valley line-up and to help us bring in the New Year!”

“We’re pumped about performing on New Years Eve at Beyond The Valley,” write the Sydney hip-hop crew in a statement. “To think we didn’t have any plans beyond ruining Jimmy Nice’s new house and leaving him to clean up, now we can ruin his tent with buddies like Nina Las Vegas and Allday and Hermitude and Peking Duk instead!”

“And then, while we leave Jimmy to pick up the shattered pieces of his portable life, we’ll go and ask Mø how to pronounce her name (Mehr? Muerh? Moerhrehr?) Plus we get to hang with all da punterz! Let’s fkn do it.”

The cancellation means that Sydney New Year’s Day staple Field Day and Perth’s Origin NYE festival are also out one headliner. However, Field Day have followed Beyond The Valley’s lead and have already recruited One Day to fill Bronson’s slot, however Raph and Kai from Jackie Onassis will not be appearing.

Meanwhile, Origin NYE have taken to their official Facebook page to break the sad news to punters and assure them, “We are currently working hard on securing a replacement.” Stay tuned to Tone Deaf for all updates.
