The lineup for this year’s instalment of the beloved Falls Festival, Australia’s favourite travelling camping music event, has just expanded further with the addition of seven new acts, who won their right to play as part of Triple J’s Unearthed competition and the festival’s own “Foster A Band” contest.
The lucky (and talented) acts include GL, who’ll be taking on crowds in Lorne, Hockey Dad, who’ll be hitting up Byron Bay, and Violet Swells, Dark Matter of Story Telling, Verticoli, Ursine, and Luca Brasi, who’ll be wowing audiences in Marion Bay.
They join the immense lineup announced earlier this year, which features a diverse roster of international big-timers and local heroes, including Alt-J, The Black Lips, Jagwar Ma, Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, The Temper Trap, Vance Joy, and more.
Tone Deaf recently reported the sad news that headliners Röyksopp & Robyn have pulled out of the festival. Following Robyn’s cancellation, the Norwegian duo confirmed last week that efforts to organise a Röyksopp solo tour weren’t able to go ahead. Organisers have not yet announced a replacement.
