After several days’ worth of nail-biting, punters heading for the scenic surrounds of the countryside this New Year’s Eve holiday for Falls Festival 2014/2015 can now rest happy in the knowledge that the festival’s lineup has been completed by the sterling likes of La Roux and Empire of the Sun.
“We’re super jazzed to announce that our two replacement acts can now be announced!” write organisers. “Not one, but two of music’s greatest dance-pop heavyweights will be stepping up! Dropping all NYE plans to come and spend it with you at Falls in Lorne, Marion Bay and Byron… Empire of the Sun and La Roux!”
For those still playing catch up, after Scandinavian electronic chanteuse Robyn announced that she’d been forced to pull out of her Australian tour commitments, which was to be a joint tour with Norwegian duo Röyksopp, both acts ended up cancelling their Falls headlining spot and a series of sideshows.
