EMC PLAY ANNOUNCES OVER 120 ARTISTS FOR TWO NIGHTS OF SHOWCASE EVENTS IN KINGS CROSS

MEDIA RELEASE – SYDNEY NOVEMBER 14: The Electronic Music Conference has announced an all-star line up of over 120 Australian electronic music artists for the first ever EMC Play; a series of events that is set to attract 10,000 music fans to multiple venues in Kings Cross this December 3-4.

For an early bird price of just $29, ticket holders will get to see performances from a line-up of Australia’s best and emerging artists including SAFIA, Wave Racer, Yolanda Be Cool, Cassian, KLP, Ivan Gough, Cosmo’s Midnight, Rainbow Chan, Simon Caldwell, Tigerlily, Slice N Dice, Kilter, Sable, GoldFields, L D R U, Yahtzel and many more.

Head of Programming for EMC Play, former FBi Radio General Manager of Music Dan Zilber, said, “The Australian dance music community is in such good health, it’s made my job incredibly enjoyable. I’m really proud of what’s on offer at EMC Play and the amazingly talented artists and crews that represent our nation on dancefloors across the country and around the world. EMC Playwill distill this talent in to two action packed nights and I think EMC delegates and punters alike are in for a wild ride.”

There will be four official venues for EMC Play, hosting 14 showcases curated by some of Australia’s best labels, crew and collectives. The brand new X54 club will host parties from inthemix and Future ClassicKings Cross Hotel will feature talent from onelove,Astral People, Plastic World, Picnic, Select Music, UNDR Ctrl as well as a exclusive rooftop event featuring artists from Audiopaxx in celebration of Pioneer’s 20th anniversary. Down the street at SOHO, Melbourne labels Lucky Entertainment and Konkrete will both host showcases featuring their best acts. Jack Daniel’s will be taking over another of the area’s best venues with #JDFutureLegends presents The 7 Wonders of World Bar. Boasting talent from seven of Australia’s freshest labels and crews including Sweat It Out, etcetc, Pilerats, October Records, Die High, Purple Sneakers and Halfway Crooks – World Bar will be bursting at the seams with live acts, DJs and some all new looks and feels to explore, plus a few extra special surprises.

Keeping in line with the ‘Discovery’ theme for this year’s conference, EMC is bringing some of the world’s biggest talent buyers to Sydney for the event including founder of Electric Daisy Carnival Donnie Estopinal (Disco Donnie Presents/SFX), booker for Coachella’s Sahara Stage Johnny Shockey (Coachella/LED Presents), Steve Aoki’s manager Matt Colon (Deckstar) US booker for Flume, John Talabot & Aeroplane Latane Hughes (Windish Agency), Baauer & FL Grime booking agent Callender (AM Only) and more.

Early bird tickets to EMC Play are now on sale to the general public for $29 and will give full access to every EMC Play Showcase across both nights (subject to venue capacities). Full price tickets valued at $49 + BF will go one sale on November 18. Those who purchase a full delegate pass to will get priority entry to all EMC Play Showcases along with access to two full days of conference, networking sessions and welcome drinks.  Delegate passes start at $299 for students.
