This November 21, The Good Ship Griswolds will be setting sail on the Sydney Harbour to celebrate the launch of the band’s debut album ‘Be Impressive’.

As the next project in the Jack Daniel’s Future Legends series, Jack Daniel’s 1907, the lighter side of Jack, is bringing The Griswolds together with a few of their friends for a very special hometown performance. Alongside collaborators Jake Stone from Bluejuice,Nic McKenzie fromDeep Sea Arcade, Pepa Knight of Jinja Safari and pop-rock outfit Castlecomer, The Griswolds are set to create a fresh take on their debut album this month as they explore tracks from ‘Be Impressive’ in a live studio session aboard The Good ship Griswolds.

“We’re ridiculously excited to have the opportunity to put on such a unique show for our fans in Sydney Harbour. Thanks to #JDFutureLegends this is set to be one of the most memorable gigs we’ve ever played, and we can’t wait to get creative with some of our favourite Australian musicians to rework our debut album – not to mention while on an epic boat surrounded by some legendary music lovers.” Said the band

‘Be Impressive’ features 11 anthemic tracks that blend The Griswolds’ trademark party vibe with poignant lyrics that show a depth that continues to provide over repeated listens. The Good ship Griswolds has been designed with this in mind, with two decks of live music set to entertain punters with the Sydney party-starters at the helm.

Passengers are invited to dress up for the occasion, as this one-of-a-kind cruise will be sailing in style.  Taking cues from Miami’s South Beach in the 1980s, gents should be looking smooth in dapper suits and shades; whilst the ladies should dress in their very best ship-shape chic.

When the ship docks at the end of the evening in Darling Harbour, Jack and The Griswolds will be continuing the fun at a secret location to cap off a top-notch evening of entertainment that is not to be missed.

All the musical action from the maiden voyage will be available post-event as a live EP streamed via The Griswolds’ Soundcloud channel.

The Good ship Griswolds is supported by the Jack Daniel’s Future Legends initiative, a creative program that aims to champion music’s future legends and the stories behind them. To be part of the story and to explore more music visit #JDFutureLegends.
