Perth five piece Mt. Mountain are today releasing their new psych gem’Chantry’ the latest cut from the band’s upcoming album recorded by Broderick Madden-Scott and Jeremy Beste at Fremantle Recording Studios.
After releasing their demo Omed in 2013, the following year has been kind to these guys. They received the 2014 WAM “Breakthrough Artist” award and have shared the stage with local and international legends such as Om, Bardo Pond, King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard, Stonefield and Earthless.
Listening to ‘Chantry’ it’s clear the warm reception is warranted. A swirling five minute heady psych jam, the single is more confident and sophisticated than the band’s two year age would suggest.
