Following the departure of Queens rhyme-slinger Action Bronson from the highly anticipated inaugural Beyond The Valley lineup, organisers have now confirmed that producer Sinjin Hawke has cancelled all upcoming Australian appearances and will be replaced with local duo The Aston Shuffle.

“Due to ‘recording commitments’ Sinjin Hawke has cancelled his upcoming Australian tour,” read a statement from Beyond The Valley organisers. The Canadian native was also set to make an appearance duirng Sydney’s NYE Harbour Party, whose organisers have not yet released a statement.

The Aston Shuffle seem more than up the challenge of ringing in Phillip Island’s latest festival event, though. “We are incredibly excited to be added to this year’s line-up! We’re bringing our full live show so expect nothing but party vibes and good times to bring in the new year!” they said in a statement.

The twosome join a diverse lineup of international and local favourites, including AlunaGeorge, The Preatures, Allday, Danny Brown, Hermitude, D.D. Dumbo, Ball Park Music, and more. The duo unveiled their much talked-about sophomore full-length effort, Photographs, earlier this year.

As Tone Deaf reported at the time, organisers showed similar speediness in finding a replacement when Action Bronson announced his second Australian cancellation this year, which was also due to “recording commitments”. BTV organisers quickly managed to recruit Australian hip-hop super-crew One Day.
