Soundwave founder AJ Maddah has taken to his beloved Twitter account to announce some changes for any Melbourne punters planning on heading down to Flemington Racecourse on Saturday, 21st February and Sunday, 22nd February 2015.
If you were, don’t. Maddah has now confirmed that the Melbourne instalment of Soundwave 2015 will now take place at its original home, the RAS Melbourne Showgrounds, where it was held until making the switch to Flemington in 2013.
“I am monumentally pleased to announce that [Soundwave 2015] is back to its original and still the best home RAS Melbourne Showgrounds. I’d like to thank our friends at Flemington for hosting the last 2 years and their effort to make the venue available against heavy odds,” wrote Maddah.

“The downside of this happy news is that our capacity is now rather limited [and] we’re almost out of weekend tickets. Needless to say, all tickets remain valid for Showgrounds and all other show details are the same,” he added.
The news comes just one week after Soundwave 2015’s second lineup was announced, featuring Dragonforce, Fucked Up, Killer Be Killed, Le Butcherettes, Bayside, Nonpoint, Animals As Leaders, Evergreen Terrace, He Is Legend, Lower Than Atlantic, One Ok Rock, and more.
At the time, Maddah once again took to his beloved Twitter channel to announce to fans that there will in fact be a third Soundwave 2015 lineup announcement. That bill is set to drop “before Christmas”, alongside festival timetables.
