The Coathangers

Infectious and utterly energetic punk rock unit The Coathangers have thankfully decided to bring their “completely unaffected, unpretentious, deliciously sloppy, and electrifying” live shows to Australia this January to celebrate getting album four under their belt, widely hailed as their most expertly recorded and well-written effort to date.

But while their recorded output has garnered much acclaim, it’s the band’s live show that has become a reputed force to be reckoned with. The versatility of each member is impressive, switching instruments (and totally destroying them) multiple times during their sets. The Coathangers encapsulate the classic, aggressive punk legacy of artists like Patti Smith and The Dead Boys.
