Taken from his EP (of the same name) released earlier this year, Jesse Davidson is today releasing the video accompaniment to his single ‘Ocean’.

Shot by a friend of Jesse’s Alex Salkicevic. The central character in the video is Jesse’s tour drummer Ben Zubreckyj. Jesse wanted  to capture the feeling of isolation in the clip, and how people react in those situations. The rotoscope animation was done by Thomas Rawle of Papa Vs. Pretty.

We covered the EP earlier this year, writing that “punching in at the barely legal age of 18-years old is Adelaide’s Jesse Davidson, a solo artist who on his Ocean EP, has crafted 5 heart-stopping tracks that are guaranteed to blow your mind. Davidson’s sound resonates with that melancholic mist of dream-pop that charmed our hearts by the aforementioned Grizzly Bear.”

Having worked alongside talented producer Japanese Wallpaper (aka Gab Strum) to create the stunning single ‘Between Friends‘ it’s clear this young singer songwriter is worth keeping your eye on.
