Following an overwhelming demand from Australian fans, Glass Animals have announced the addition of a second Melbourne show to their upcoming Australian tour. The additional Melbourne performance will take place at The Hi-Fi on Sunday, 11th January.

Glass Animals have become frequent visitors to our shores over the last 12 months and it’s little wonder Australians can’t get enough of one of the biggest buzz bands of the year, even garnering nods of recognition from the likes of Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood.

The band’s debut album, Zaba, was unveiled earlier this year to widespread critical acclaim, with many highlighting the unique vocal and songwriting abilities of frontman David Bayley, whose music and artwork draws inspiration from his involvement in the world of medicine and neuroscience.

Readers can check below for all the dates and ticketing details of Glass Animals’ January Australian tour. The band will making their way Down Under this December for performances at Falls Festival and Southbound.

To celebrate the tour, the band have curated a tour mixtape featuring some tracks they’ve been digging the past year or so and it’s pretty killer.

Animal Collective – ‘My Girls’

I’ve loved this track for years, and only recently heard it again and thought about the lyrics for the first time. I now like it more.

Flying Lotus – ‘Aunties Harp’

If I had to have a track on loop in my head for the rest of ever. This would probably be it. Short. Mystical. Beautiful.

Four Tet – ‘Paralel Jalebi’

Such a wonderful song. Four Tet is a genius. Melodically and rhythmically pushing boundaries.

Patten – ‘Blush Mosaic’

This dude is from London, and deserves so much more recognition than he has had up until now.

Caribou – ‘Bowls’

My favourite song off SWIM. Always on at Glass Animals parties. Great to dance to.

Kaytranada – ‘Killacats’

Another relatively recent discovery. In the same world as Lunice. Proper banger

The Pharcyde – ‘Passing Me By’

Don’t need to say much about this. It’s a classic.

Bonobo – ‘We Could Forever’

Saw these guys in France at a festival we played this year. This was the standout track for me.

Zomby – ‘Equinox’

I heard this before a Radiohead show a hill back. its moody. and exciting. Zomby is an amazing producer and musician.

Dead Prez – ‘It’s Bigger Than Hip Hop’

Because every playlist ever made should end with Dead Prez.
