If we told you that an iconic musician had just collaborated with a skate brand to create a themed skateboard, you’d probably assume it’d be someone like Pavement, Bad Brains or Jawbreaker right? Wrong.

As the guys at Stereogum point outThe Prince of Darkness himself, Nick Cave, has worked with Aussie skateboard company Fast Times to produce what has to be one of the sickest skateboard decks we’ve ever laid our eyes on.

The fresh deck has been created by the incredible San Francisco artist Chuck Sperry and was inspired by the more faster-paced Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ track ‘Nature Boy’ from the 2004 record, Abattoir Blues.

The lyrics printed on the bright floral board read “she moves among the flowers/she floats upon the smoke” “she moves among the shadows/she moves me with just one look“, which if one puts together the poetic tellings with the record’s original cover art sees the new skateboard fit rather well with Cave’s initial vision.

According to Fast Times, Cave is a good friend and customer who teamed up with the company to produce a special, small collection. Cave discussed both lyrics and a theme, after which it was decided that ‘Nature Boy’ best suited the Melbourne Skate Scene and vibe of Fast Times.

Naturally, the skateboard is most definitely a limited edition kind of item, however if you want to purchase this bad boy it surprisingly isn’t going to cost you too many of your hard-earneds, with the Fast Times website listing the decks for $99.95 as well as the rad t-shirts that only fetch for $49.95.

Check out the promo vid for the deck below, it’s kinda amazing how well ‘Nature Boy’ does in fact fit the shredder aesthetic.
