Have you ever wondered what it would be like if one of your favourite record labels held a good old fashioned garage sale? We’ve definitely have, and for one lucky fan, this dream became a reality.

As the guys at Stoney Roads point out, an insanely stoked electronica advocate miraculously visited the Ed Banger Record Label’s garage sale which is held annually in Paris, and he absolutely cleaned up.

Just quickly for those that aren’t schooled in the world of Ed Banger, this is a French label that spearheaded the electro and French house movements of the early 2000s. Lead by producer Busy P, the label was at the top of the dance game, with an epic roster including the likes of Justice, Sebastian, Cassius, DJ Medhi, Feadz, Uffie and so many more, not to mention a strong affiliation with the legendary Daft Punk.

As one can imagine, a fan of French house would go bananas at the thought of discovering a garage sale like this, which featured original vinyls and CDs as well to merchandise including t-shirts, jackets, posters and patches and so much more.

In the words of Ed Banger nut on his experience, “I was living with my G/F in Paris for the month of September last year just for the hell of it. We chose Paris because of my affinity for Ed Banger and French Electronic music in general (we saw Gesaffelstein, Vitalic LIVE, Crookers, went to the Rex Club and Inox Park festival). I found out about this sale on EdRec’s twitter the night before it happened, and I was staying just two subway stops away.”

Join us as we journey into the Ed Banger garage sale through the eyes of a super stoked fan, but be warned, you’re going to come down with a serious case of FOMO.
