The dawn of a new year is finally upon us, with everybody getting back to work and frantically answering backdates emails, counting the sleeps until that Australia Day public holiday. Meanwhile, Australia’s live music scene hasn’t slowed down a single beat.

In fact, quite the contrary seems to be true, with today’s local tour wrap-up featuring some highly anticipated jaunts from the likes of DZ Deathrays, Angus & Julia Stone, Jordie Lane, Kim Churchill, Peter Bibby, Steve Smyth, and The Beards.

DZ Deathrays

Having left a path of destruction behind them following three explosive shows on the Falls Festival tour, beloved rockers DZ Deathrays have announced that three shows on their highly anticipated Get Rich or Drunk Tryin’ tour next month with Bass Drum Of Death and Hockey Dad have sold out, including two at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club and Brisbane’s Brightside. To keep up with the massive demand from fans, the Brisbane thrashers have announced the addition of two news shows in Melbourne to be held at the Northcote Social Club, including a special under-18s daytime show.
