If yesterday’s news of the mega Coachella 2015 lineup wasn’t enough to drive you into an insane FOMO frenzy, New York City’s answer to the Californian festival, The Governor’s Ball, has just announced its 2015 lineup and it’s almost better, but the best part, it’s peppered with Aussie artists, including one local group.

Get your credit cards at the ready, The Governor’s Ball which is held from June 5 – 7 at Randall’s Island Park, will be headlined by Aussie bound Drake, The Black Keys, Deadmau5, Lana Del Rey, Florence & The Machine and Björk, as well as a healthy stock of killer acts including The War On Drugs, St. Vincent (who will be in Australia for Laneway Festival this February), Hot Chip, Chromeo and many, many more.

Perhaps the most exciting Aussie addition to this lineup is local Sydney outfit DMA’s who land their feet back in NYC after smashing apart 2014’s CMJ festival, this is a massive opportunity for the Britpop revivalists.

The Australian contingent of The Governor’s Ball will also see the likes of the one and only neo-psychedelic champions Tame Impala hypnotise audiences. The year 2015 is shaping to be one of massive epic proportions for the dreamy outfit, having just this week announced that their third full-length LP would drop some time in 2015, not to mention landing themselves a headlining position on the aforementioned Coachella 2015 lineup.

Waving the Aussie flag high in NYC is our electronic pride and joy Flume, not to mention Angus & Julia Stone who dropped their stellar self-titled record to critical acclaim last year.

But wait, that’s not all, The Big Apple will have their hearts charmed by Melbournian Vance Joy, just before he embarks on a worldwide tour with the one and only Taylor Swift as well as beatmakers Hermitude who will coax every Yankee onto their feet.
