The legendary boys of Pond are mere weeks away from the release of their sixth full-length LP, Man It Feels Like Space Again, and in the lead-up, have just unveiled a killer new tune with an insanely hilarious music video, as well as Laneway Festival sideshow announcements.

The fresh tune ‘Zond’ sees the psych-space rockers step even closer to the zany world of dancin’ synthesisers and drum machines, whilst pertaining to their usual kaleidoscopic trip of psychedelica. This time the loveable Nick Allbrook takes the lead vocal reigns, howling through the jovial song. This is the third release from their forthcoming record, Pond having already dropped ‘Elvis Flaming Star’ and ‘Sitting Up On Our Crane’ prior.

‘Zond’s’ music clip itself is as expected, completely insane, utterly sidesplitting and 100% Pond. From dancing in lycra bodysuits to sitting on a couch dressed as old grannies and then rockin’ out in pool floaties, this is definitely the band’s most nutty vid, and we love ’em for it.

If you’re digging Pond’s new material, we’ve got more great news, they’ve announced two Laneway Festival sideshows for Melbourne and Sydney in early February. Man It Feels Like Space Again is out January 23, and we can’t wait.
