The year 2014 was one of epic proportions for Sydney quintet Sticky Fingers, their sophomore record Land Of Pleasure was heralded by fans as one of the best releases of the year, the band embarked on a huge sold-out headlining tour, and to add another notch in their success belt, they’ve sold out a tour without any promotion.

Selling out three sizeable bandrooms of 170 Russell (Melbourne), The Enmore Theatre (Sydney) and Hi-Fi Bar (Brisbane) the tour takes place in March, Sticky Fingers not announcing a single thing on social media or asking for any publicity from any Australian publications. The band simply put their gig details on the various live music venue’s websites that they’d be playing and allowed the traditional excitement of word of mouth to move every last available ticket.

The five-piece wanted “to cap off an amazing year, and play one last run of shows to celebrate their album Land Of Pleasure before getting ready to demo and record the next album in their newly constructed STIFI recording studio and rehearsal space” the confirmation of a new record spurring fans into an even more inflated state of exuberance.

Don’t worry, we needed help picking our jaws up off the ground too, we knew these guys were talented and had an adoring fanbase, but we had no idea they were capable of such an extraordinary feat. This is such a fantastic story and the eclectic five-piece should be super chuffed with such a wild response.
