Aussie rock fans, your prayers have been answered. Cherry Bar have announced they will once again be bringing out their favourite bands in the world to mark the triumphant return of CherryRock. This time around, the likes of Red Fang, Beastwars, HITS, Child, and My Left Boot will be blitzing through AC/DC Lane.
Kicking off Sunday, 10th May, fans gathered inside the Melbourne rock Mecca that is Cherry Bar will also be treated to performances from Fuck The Fitzroy Doom Scene, Dr Colossus, and Los Hombres Del Diablo for the ninth annual CherryRock015 street rock and roll festival.
Despite previous concerns that local residential development and the Pastuso restaurant at the foot of AC/DC Lane would spell the end of CherryRock, Cherry Bar owner and booker James Young says, “The new residents can just suck it up, but we did have concerns with Pastuso because they are a very popular Peruvian restaurant open seven days and nights a week.”
“Thankfully David Parker and the guys are really good guys and we came to an ingenious solution. They host their annual staff party on Sunday 10 May and Cherry gives them all free tickets to come to CherryRock015. Bang! Deal done. Turn everything up!”
Fans can expect a total of 13 acts spread over two stages and no clashes. Readers can check below for all the dates and ticketing details. Early bird tickets are available for a very reasonable $74, which includes booking fee. There’s still more great acts set for the lineup so make sure you act fast.
