With Tom DeLonge officially out of Blink-182 and the ensuing war of words between bandmates growing in bitterness and disheartening many fans, DeLonge has taken to his official Instagram channel to share what could potentially lift fans’ spirits or crush them once again.

DeLonge has shared two clips of previously unheard music that sound more akin to something the guitarist would release with Blink-182, the band he founded with bassist Mark Hoppus in 1992, than his alt-rock side-project Angels & Airwaves. Many fans are speculating they could be unreleased Blink tunes.

Both of the clips are accompanied by the hashtags #SongsWithoutAHome and #March1st, which has left fans wondering if the 1st March could be a possible release date for unheard Blink material, DeLonge’s side-project, or perhaps even solo material from the estranged guitarist.

Throwing fuel on the fire, when asked if one of the clips was “supposed to be Blink?” DeLonge responded simply with an emoji of clapping hands, implying that the tracks could be remnants from abandoned recording sessions or unheard music from sessions past.

Fans have now been left to decide whether to be optimistic about a potential release for the unnamed tracks, or despondent that, with DeLonge gone, the songs may never see the light of day. Considering the current back-and-forth between DeLonge and the band, it’s unlikely the guitarist will rejoin the trio.

After the remaining members of the band criticised DeLonge for his lack of “balls” (DeLonge informed the band that he had no desire to participate in Blink’s recording sessions or live performances via his manager and not in person), the guitarist responded by saying that his relationship with the band had been “poisoned”.
