We here at Tone Deaf honestly get kind of tired writing about the constant noise complaints that get sent to live music venues around the country. It seems every month another venue is hit with a makeshift ‘cease and desist’ notice from an irate local resident who wishes they’d keep it down. Y’know, even though the venue was there first.

That’s why it warmed our hearts to see this letter that was recently delivered to Tasmanian punk outfit Luca Brasi. Rather than complaining about the racket, the adorable note, apparently penned by their 10-year-old next-door neighbour, refers to the group as the “[most] awesome band ever” and commends the group on their work.

“Dear Lucabrasi [sic], Hi I’m the daughter of the man next door to you,” the letter opens. “I could hear you singing and I could hear the band playing and I loved it. I can tell you love music and I do as well. Good luck and enjoy the rest of making this songs [sic] and the other songs,” the author continues.

“Best music ever. I like the singing and the drums and every other instrument,” she concludes. The “best band ever” are now set to hit the road this March to play gigs in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, and Perth with support from Gnarwolves and Tired Lion in March.
