Whatever Jack White is doing, you can be sure it’s going to come with some incredibly decked-out limited edition version that has all sorts of obscure goodies and special features that only Jack White could have thought of. After all, he’s the mad scientist behind the Lazaretto ultra vinyl.

If you’re not familiar with the ultra edition of White’s sophomore solo album, the rocker basically packed in as many extra features as he could onto one piece of wax. There were two vinyl-only hidden tacks hidden beneath the centre labels, locked grooves, a hand-etched hologram, and dual-groove technology that gave different intros to songs depending on where the needle was dropped.

Now, White has taken the same approach with his poster promoting his recent Las Vegas shows. The poster comes with a specially designed coin that fans can use to scratch and expose underlying images printed onto the poster. If you’re lucky enough to scratch a winning combo, you actually win prizes.

If your scratchie poster reveals a redhead, blonde, and a brunette, you win the “Three Women Prize Pack” containing three limited edition records: a 7″ single by Tempest Storm, a 7″ single by Amy Walker, and an album by Olivia Jean.

If you scratch to reveal Neitszhe, Freud, and Horace you win the “Three Thinkers Collection,” comprised of three limited edition live LPs by Bill Burr, Neil Hamburger, and Reggie Watts. Finally, scratching to reveal three matching Third Man logos will get you a $300 gift card to spend online or in-store at Third Man Records.

Naturally, most of these incredible posters sold out at White’s show last night, but according to Stereogum, Matthew Jacobson and Shelby Rodeffer, the designers of the scratchie poster, will be selling a limited number in the near future via Jacobson’s official website.
