One of the most highly anticipated acts on the forthcoming Byron Bay Bluesfest 2015 lineup, Hozier, has officially sold out both of his Bluesfest sideshows. The only place to see the Grammy-nominated songwriting talent is now Bluesfest, but to make sure fans don’t miss out, Hozier has now announced a second Bluesfest performance.

His chart-scaling hit ‘Take Me to Church’ was recently nominated for a Grammy in the prestigious Song of the Year category and his Australian sideshows at Sydney’s Metro Theatre and the Corner Hotel in Melbourne sold out in just a matter of minutes. “With hundreds of people on line, tickets were snapped up almost instantly,” write Bluesfest organisers.

To accommodate the massive demand, in addition to his planned performance on Bluesfest’s massive opening night on Thursday, 2nd April, Hozier will now perform a second set on Easter Saturday, 4th April. This will be the only chance Aussies now have to see the Irish star as organisers have advised that no further sideshows will be announced.

In the meantime, the Bluesfest 2015 drip feed just keeps on coming, with the likes of The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Ben Harper, and Lenny Kravitz now set to be joined by a raft of incredible bands and artists, who each stand at the forefront of their respective genres, spanning blues, folk, rock, roots, funk, jazz, rock, and more.
