Continuing their hot streak, Brisbane world-beaters Sheppard recently performed their hit ‘Geronimo’ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The performance comes just months after the band first turned heads Stateside after a well-received appearance on US daytime staple Ellen.

In what was a rather lean year for Australian album sales, Sheppard not only provided fans worldwide with one of the most highly rotated tracks on their summer playlists, but even managed to go 5x platinum in their homeland. ‘Geronimo’ now holds the longest stay at number one on the Australian singles chart for any independent release.

With so much buzz surrounding the band that recently become veteran promoter Michael Chugg’s pet project, it looks like the band’s performance on one of the most highly-rated talk shows in the US could just go down as the latest flashpoint for the group in their bid for dominance over the pop world.

They certainly seem to be doing everything right. During a recent European tour, the band saw their star rise across the continent. In just four short weeks on the road, ‘Geronimo’ hit the top 10 in Ireland, Italy, and Poland, and became the third most-played music video in Spain.
