Attention all fans and artists that fall with heavy rock and metal, there’s a fresh label that has just been launched in Australia that you are really going to dig.

Introducing Double Cross, an Aussie label that has just been launched by Melbourne-based crew Coking Vinyl that will represent more hard-hitting outfits both international and local, as The Music reports.

Originally founded in 2013 by Stu Harvey and Leigh Grupetta, the pair have vast knowledge of the industry, having both worked with heavy rock bands in the past, not to mention Harvey having hosted the ever-popular Triple J punk show Short Fast Loud.

Harvey spoke of Double Cross joining forces with Cooking Vinyl, “Leigh and I have talked about a properly-funded rock imprint label ever since we started CVA. There  is so much amazing music being produced, our aim for  Double Cross is to build a diverse roster highlighting great rock and heavy music from all around the world. We’ve definitely got some signings up our sleeve that may come as a surprise.”

Double Cross have wasted no time, having signed our favourite local outfit High Tension, as well as the likes of Canada’s Cancer Bats who will be the label’s first release in March for Searching For Zero, followed by the newly inked Gallows of the UK who’s Desolation Sounds will drop in April.
