Garage maestros Gunslingers have unveiled a new single titled ‘I’ll Always Be Waiting’, which pairs the group’s knack for fuzzed-out choruses with verses marked by summery chords reminiscent of ’80s and ’90s lo-fi bands like Sebadoh and Dinosaur Jr. The single is the latest taste of the band’s upcoming record, DJANGUS.

The Melbourne four-piece teased their debut LP with the release of ‘Paradox’ at the end of last year, which was extremely well-received, subsequently popping up on RRR’s Class of 2014 compilation, as well as garnering a few cheeky summer spins on Triple J and receiving heavy rotation on Triple J Unearthed.

Recorded by Paul Maybury (King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard) and mastered by Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Closure In Moscow), DJANGUS is slated for release on 10th April. The band will play a special single launch show in Melbourne on 21st February at The John Curtin. Readers can check out the latest offering from Gunslingers below.
