‘(You Should See) The Look On Your Face’ is the latest single to be taken from new wave revivalists The Solicitors’ debut LP Blank Check.

Released late last year The Solicitors’ Blank Check is 30 minutes of succinct, unabashed Rock’n’Roll driven new wave pop music.

‘(You Should See) The Look On Your Face’ is a slight departure from the bands raucous signature sound; dropping a few beats per minute from their previous offerings but keeping the spiky guitars and dry wit that has become synonymous with the group.

On the single the band explores the potential pitfalls of cosmetic surgery, with a hint of social commentary regarding the pressures on humans to conform to an idealised social stereotype, but as Lee Jones (front man of The Solicitors) explains “We try to avoid pseudo-science by keeping our tongues planted firmly in our cheeks”.
